• essentially gives the link two directions

• usually in the form of an additional section listing the pages that link the node

• it is not enough to rely on these, you should explicitly link nodes to get your point across and to make stronger associations with certain ideas

• otherwise, they can be used for implicit listing of the nodes, giving a sense of structure of your notes
