when you learn enough, you should move on to the next topic.
while mastering the topic is great, it shouldn't be done when you first learn about something; it will only impede your progress;
furthermore, you could've used that time to understand related topics
for some (myself included), this stems from avoiding rote learning which is associated from bad education; however, realize that Understanding comes first from memory
for others, this may be an indicator of aimlessness; be sure to Create roadmaps to stay on track and understand how Learning a new skill often starts from specific places
this could lead into a bad habit of mastering everything
remember, Most of the work is done from smaller amount of effort; additionally, We are more associative than structured, we can use our intuition to fill in the rest of the details; but be sure to study and review those details for some time
you can also do some Switching between different topics makes new perspective between learning new topics and mastering the previous ones
